Hi it's been two-three months since I have started doing cp. i am quite comfortable while solving div 3,div 4 problems and I am able to solve 4-5 problems within the contest. and my rating increases easily in div3 and div4 but when it comes to div2 i often struggle in solving div2 B despite practicing the problems rated 1200-1500 around 30 problems in each range I still struggle in div2, as a result my rating always falls down. What should i do? should i only use div3 and div4 until i become specialist. Please suggest me some way to overcome this problem.

Grind 1400,1500,1600,1700 rated problems for a month or so and then give the contests, i`m facing the same issues and implementing this idea, Best of Luck!!

How do you practise also matters . Just doing too many problems won't help if you see their solutions . The main aim while doing practise should be to improve problem solving and develop a approach to solve any new problem . Also to solve Div-2 B easily , you must master binary search and bitmasks . And also you must keep practising 1200-1300 rated questions . While practising you must also examine yourself , like if you were not able to solve a problem , then look up the editorial and try to find what key observation led to the solution that you were not able to find and also try to answer why you were not able to get this observation or how you could have made this observation . This will improve your problem solving .

Second important thing is you should give virtual contests and analyze your performance .
