Most of the time, I have no issues visiting the gym. I can use hyperlinks to click or directly enter the address in the address bar.
However, recently I have been practicing some specialized gym exercises with VJudge. I clicked on the VJudge link to redirect to the original question, which looks like this:
https://vjudge.net/problem/Gym-xxxxxxA/origin
And interestingly, it was directed to the homepage. I tried to ban CodeForces on the entire web connection, and I could see that when the last prompt was "unable to connect", the address bar clearly showed the address of the statement in gym; But when reconnected, it seems like it flickered for a moment and then jumped back to the homepage.
What's even more interesting is that if I drag this link to the top of the browser to open a new tab (instead of a single click, although this will also open a new tab), this problem doesn't exist at all. And there is no problem with jumping to regular CF Round questions, so it should be the gym's problem rather than my local or VJudge's.
Sometimes it seems like a similar problem occurs when jumping to gym on search engines or something, but I can't remember clearly. If you want to test it yourself, just find a gym question on VJudge, like, https://vjudge.net/problem/Gym-101064L, and try to click the hyperlink right beside the problem title.
There are no other computers or websites around me to try, and my friends around me are too lazy to pay attention to me, so I can only write this post based on my one-sided words. I even don't know how VJudge works to jump to the original problem statement... So is this a situation that everyone has? If so, why? If not, why do I have this problem?
