In this blog, I would like to thank you all for participating in Iranian Combinatorics Olympiad 2025.

Here are a couple of announcements about the contests as well as the official results:

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

0) We had students from more than 70 different countries participating in this event. There were more than 2000 teams competing from across the world.

1) Thank you for writing your opinions and feedbacks under my previous post. We have read them all and make sure to reflect them in the future events. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!! If you have any further comments or feedbacks you can write it under my comment.

2) As promised, the certificates for this event is going to be sent out soon in the coming weeks.

3) The certificates for the ICO 2024 is already sent out.

4) We would like to have a special thanks to teams that sent videos to us. The final ceremony video is going to be published on our YouTube channel.

The Iranian Combinatorics Olympiad is back!

For those who are not familiar with this competition, this is an online event which is free to register and participate in. Everyone can participate in this challenge in a team of at most 3! Keep in mind that all members of a team must have the same nationality!

The contest contains two rounds and students will be challenged to solve IMO style combinatorial questions.

The unique and nice thing about this contest, is that it is the first contest in the world that has an online judging system for a theoretical exam. The registration is now open!

Anyone in any grade and educational level can participate in this exam.

There will be four divisions in this contest:

1) Junior Level: Students in grade 8 or below

2) Intermediate Level: Students in grade 10 or below

3) Advanced Level: Students in grade 12 or below

4) Open Level: No age restrictions

As I mentioned above, this contest is completely free and we are relying on sponsors to support such an event! To help us grow and make this contest is bigger, the only request that we have from you guys is to:

1) Participate in this event if you are interested in solving these types of problems

2) If it is possible for you, we would be happy if you can send us a short video (to our official email), introducing yourself, your nationality and say "OLAMPIAD TARKIBIAT IRAN" which translates to "Iranian Combinatorics Olympiad". We would like to thank you in advance for your kind support.

The event will be on two days, 30th and 31st of October.

Hello everyone, I am very proud to announce that the second Iranian Combinatorics Olympiad is going to be held soon, also, I will publish the official poster and text for more information.

Official text: Have you ever thought about how scientists are improving artificial intelligence? How do banks predict whether a start-up will be successful or not? Or even how these new navigators can find the fastest way to your destination in a crowded city? Lots of you might think of mathematics. Well, that's right; but if look more closely, the basic idea for these achievements is Combinatorics.

Combinatorics is one of the main areas in mathematics which is widely used for solving problems in the real world. By solving combinatorics tasks, you can improve your logic and proving skills.

Interested in combinatorics? We have a very good news for you! Try yourself with some high-quality problems and have a lot of fun by participating in IranianCombinatorics Olympiad.

Iranian Combinatorics Olympiad is a competition in which you can test your skills in groups of three but what makes us unique is having an online scoreboard for a proof-based competition, maybe for the first time in the world.
