bosboo's blog

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

I want to share something important with my fellow Muslim brothers and sisters, especially those who are active on Codeforces and similar global platforms.

Recently, Codeforces introduced a “magic” event where users can temporarily change their rating or rating color. While exploring this feature, a popup appears that asks:

“Do you confirm that Santa Claus is real?”

At first glance, this may look like a harmless joke or just a prank. Many people may click through without thinking much about it. But as Muslims, we must pause and reflect, because this directly touches on our ʿaqīdah (belief).

Please do not click “Yes” knowingly, even for fun.

Be careful with what you affirm, even online, even “just for fun.”

May Allah keep our hearts firm upon the truth.

What the hell is going on in codeforces.

Has it come to this that we cannot even understand a joke and get offended by it and connect it to our religion.

give me a break!!

This user should get banned.

Switch to the Russian version, it does not require to confirm Santa Claus is real

I am actually surprised why CodeForces has not removed this blog till now. Irrespective of one's religious faith, should we actually discuss such stuff on this platform ?
