Why? Why do you wish it were there? What does a higher number on the internet give you? The rating is there to give you a measure of how well you have participated in contests recently. But, for some reason, you would want to increase your rating without participating in contests. I cannot fathom any logic here.

But it is not growth. The growth is getting better, learning new stuff and improving your results. Increasing the number doesn't make you better.

If there were a button "get +1000 rating" in your profile, would you press it?

no cuz it'd not be fair BUT im not saying like that easy i mean like for instance each 150 — 200 completed tasks adding 100 rating because it's like reward for newbies

I've just realized that if one instantly get +1000 rating, his rating will eventually decreased to his real skill level, and other participants will get ~ 1 more rating. And if everyone gets +4000, nothing really changes (except the fact that everyone becomes Tourist), since rating changes depend only on rating differences, which remain the same.

You already get a bunch of free rating for your first few contests, that should be more than enough to not get stuck in newbie

If you can't get rating after that it's your problem, nobody in expert struggles to solve the first problem of a div 2

the difficulty also goes up along with your score (for example ur score would grow faster as a newbie than a LGM bc u rly dont have much to lose with lower score)

for newbies, it's more about not having confidence to participate in contests but your point is correct.

I don't think other ways of gaining rating would be honest, because even in contests people use AI to solve problems, if there would another way(like solving problems for gaining rating), they probably will just read editorials and try to find the easiest way.
