This is stupid. There's no reason not to expose someone to something that could be useful to the kid's future. Just don't shove it down their throats too hard ig, but if they seem to enjoy/have an aptitude for it, keep giving them more. I loved stem subjects before age of 6 and loved reading books about science stuff (like facts about volcanoes, dinosaurs, etc.). I greatly wish I was introduced to more structured material rather than just learning a bunch of trivia at that age.
To be honest, I wish I was exposed to early to these sorts of things. I'm 20 now and struggling to cope up with the world.

I think at the age of 6 he/she is too young for math as paper work but maybe puzzles and logical riddles are good.this site has a lot of clever riddles
There are also some Dover books on Recreational Math & Puzzles but those are fairly advanced for a 6-7-year-old.
Try Ted-Ed riddles.
Question is very straight forward in asking just for resource, why are we people adding a philosophical angle to it(although its far more important that the question itself). Discussing that, will alone required different thread. So, Please be useful and share the resources if you have some.

Give the child a candy for the first IMOSL problem he/she solves.Increase the amount of candies as he/she moves from C1 to C7.Finally make him/her solve AGCs and instead of candies give him/her a whole chocolate bar. Should work I guess.

It it obvious that 6yo can solve it with motivation!
Basic combinatorics problems and some cool and easy Computing/Math Olympiad problems are nice for a 10YO child.
