Why is it important when you're an Indian? I am Indian and I only do competitive programming on codeforces because of cheaters on codechef and personally , I don't like the UI etc. of codechef.
true ,codechef is depressing , bulk of cheating happens there unfortunate :(
Cheating happens every where. And yeah, it pushes your rank lower as well. But, try improving yourself to the extent where cheating no longer would affect you. This shall earn you a different level of satisfaction and achievement altogether.
Its upto you, who you give more preference, everybody can have their own opinions and preferences.
I give priority to problems that are obviously not platform-specific. If recently the problems on CodeChef are really good, then why not. I don't think CodeChef in recent times is much much less than codeforces.
I was not talking about questions btw. There's huge problem of cheating which is largely unhandled. Many times there's sudden rise of submissions even for difficult problems at some point and even if plagiarism is detected then ratings and rankings are not updated. At least they did not when I used to give. Personally, I feel like, after acquisition by unacademy, they just turned it into an advertisement website and not really putting efforts to improve the contests and platform as a whole.
