I think I optimized my Python submission, but I still get TLE. I don't understand why. Can you help me?

It seems to follow the approach of the editorial.

This submission was accepted in the contest, but later turned into Time Limit Exceeded. I wonder how does this happen?

Did it fail on a testcase that was not present before? Something else?

I am new to Codeforces and would love to hack other people's submissions in the future.

I learned that I can only hack people in my room.

In yesterday's contest, only 1 of 43 people in the room used Python. I am not familiar with other languages, which made/makes hacking impossible, unfortunately.

Feature request: please put people in rooms grouped by programming language. That would enable hacking in more languages.
