See the above comment for my point of view. I am not spreading hate. CP is a fun. Hiding editorial and other things just demoralize the users to use the site and thats it.

When you stuck at a problem in codeforces, do you search in google writing "round x problem y editorial"? or just click tutorial link button at the bottom right corner? In codechef discuss lots of other topics will be popped up and after a few days another contest will take place which will replace the past contests editorials. You have no alternative but searching in google writing "round x problem y editorial".

Why? at least you should keep the written editorials on the problem page. At this rate one day we can see pro users can submit in contest time and others can not. That day is not very far from today.

One question. Wasn't the randomness of test cases supposed to to avoid TL? Like here one can assume there can not be more than 50 or 60 1's in the beginning thus allowing his bruteforce code to get passed? But it should have checked WA solutions. Like making more testcases with a lesser probability of having 1's?

Yes they were. But in that round an author completely copied the problem with sample explanation. Also this is completely dependent on codeforces authority. If they didn't want to unrate that round then what could you have done? Similar for this round. If they want to unrate this they will do it by themselves. We cannot enforce them.

Today was one of those rounds where at least solutions for D weren't leaked. I think that matters the most than the problem copy incident. As a participant as long as the problem seems new to me I think its fine.

I know you are not a cheater. Mike can consider your case specially if he has that much time. But in general most of the cheaters would give this excuse that code was already public on many sites bla bla... Plagiarism checker is only run over the codes that are submitted in contest time. So not in this contest but also in big contests like OI or others if you get caught for this reason I don't think you would be forgiven. So practise to code yourself even if the whole code for the problem already exists!!

Using reference code for template and directly copy pasting solutions are different bro. I don't think your punishment should be rolled back. Even it is a common problem you are supposed to do at least the solve part by yourself.

I believe in Indian cheaters more than myself....they are so talented that if you make a closed door contest for them they will still find a way to cheat and spoil a contest.
