Hi,

Last year I created this extension to show a countdown to upcoming codeforces contest in the panel area of Gnome desktop environment.

It has now been updated to use the api from kontests.net and shows all upcoming from all sites it supports. That is, codeforces, atcoder, leetcode and many more are now supported.

Big thanks to the developers of kontests.net.

I have not tested with gnome 44, but it might work.

If you want to test it out, then you need to install the extension from github (there is a command in readme) which will install the extension to ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions. Then you can change the file ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/contestcountdown@raghav/metadata.json and add "44" to the versions list. And reload after that.

    Hope it helps!

It would be great if there was an option to add a contest manually. Sometimes individuals have personal contests or other contests hosted by local organizations or universities.
