Hey there! LexMACS (Lexington Mathematical Computer Science club) is proud to announce that LIT (Lexington Informatics Tournament) is back for 2023!
LIT is composed of 2 rounds: the standard round and the Capture-The-Flag ( CTF ) Cybersecurity round. The standard round is a USACO-style team contest with 8-10 problems and a 3-hour contest window. Some of our problem-setters and testers include: BucketPotato, rqi, Savior-of-Cross, EmeraldBlock, SuperJ6, eyangch, izhang, czhang2718, fishy15, fivefourthreeone, lookcook, wabadabakalakaboo, eggag32, and codetiger927.
You may create teams of up to 3 members and choose to start either round at any time during our 5-day contest window (August 4th to August 8th). For more info on LIT logistics, visit https://lit.lhsmathcs.org/.
Furthermore, we will have over * $20,000 * worth of prizes for teams with superb performances, as well as some secret prizes. ALL participants will receive participation prizes and be entered into prize raffles, and the top 16 contestants will receive Wolfram Alpha Notebook Edition. Top 8 teams from both the standard and CTF rounds will receive cash prizes! We also have cash prizes specific to both college/post-high school and middle school students, along with game night cash prizes! Regardless of your skill level, we promise that the contest will provide something exciting and refreshing!

:D HOPE TO SEE YOU GUYS THIS YEAR!!!
Sincerely, LexMACS Organizers <3
Lit is so lit that it illuminates my deep space :3
It is so lit, I have to wear glasses to protect my eyes (but see if you can knock them off!) :D
Another year of of kawaii waifus and out of this world problems!
Don't forget to orz best girl codetiger927!
I've participated in LIT for the last two years, and I highly encourage others to try it out! LIT CTF in particular was a really fun introduction to CTF contests (with the added entertainment of rickrolls, among us references, and obligatory codetiger orzes). I also really enjoyed the standard round from previous years, as the problemsetters worked hard to make high quality problems.
I look forward to participating again this year!

Just registered. Can't wait :) One question, when I registered it never asked my grade, so how do they know if my team is an only middle school team?
Hello :D So normally we look at your schools and see if they match the criterion. Thus, after you fill out your school and eligibility information, you should be all set! Excited to have you at LIT~
Oh, ok. But, my school has my middle school and high school together. So can I write School name(middle school) as part of my school?
Yep! Great idea to help us differentiate. We're also planning to add "Middle School" as an option to our eligibility section, so check that out once we're done <3
Okay! Thank you so much for all the help!
Is it okay if we put our school names in Arabic? We don't know the official names in English (not even sure if there are English names)
Sounds super fun!
As someone who has been rickrolled more than twice on LIT, I am looking forward to this contest!
Can we participate only in standard round not in Cybersecurity round
Yes, you do not have to compete in both, and leaderboards/prizes are separate for both rounds.
is there any particiaption fee
No, anyone can participate for free. The only fee is you must have fun :).
are there any area restrictions as well
No area restrictions.
average competitors in CTF be like
"WTF" (where's the flag)
Looking forward to another successful tetr.io tournament!
I couldn't find it anywhere, how many computers can we use at the same time in the standard round? This is probably discussed in discord, but I don't want to join
Everyone on a team can use their own computer if desired.
We don't track any computers, so theoretically, you can have as many computers as you want taking at the same time! :D
I think the problems cannot be solved by any AI.
Hi, for the eligible (6 — 12) and non-eligible, does it mean that we have to fill eligible if we are in grades 6 — 12 in school and fill non-eligible if we are college students?
Yes.
As a tester, I enjoyed the problems that I have solved while testing!
Hey notlikeduck codetiger927 actually I'm just about to graduate this year so what I must select in Eligibility Criteria?
If you're just graduating from High School, we will still be considering you as eligible for the High School prizes!
Okay ty
Can we participate online ? : )
Yes, you just sign up and start contest on the website linked.
Thanks a lot ! : )
As a tester, this is indeed a lit contest.
The standard round is only open for a few more hours. Now is your last chance to take!
Will the editorials be posted?
