I've noticed that a lot of the recent problems are significantly more math-heavy (and therefore harder? It might just be me not coming from a math background) than before. Doing 1500s from recent contests feels harder than doing 2000s from past contests. Anyone else feeling this?

Your observation is right. I think since problem ratings are set according to user ratings, user rating inflation affects problem ratings.

Sorry my English is poor. (keep practicing)

I think this is a trend that OI/ACM will have a very close connection with math(and now it has) and people's ability keeps improving. But I think doing *1500 problems now is still not that difficult as *2000 problems in the past contests(except 5/6 years ago or more). And there must be some different between person and person, so maybe math-heavy problems are more difficult to you, you should practice it. qwq

let's improve our skills together!

The fact is that algorithm competitions are developing faster and faster, and many people are unable to keep up.
