Have a set goal and everytime you feel down remember that goal.

when ever there is a pattern like F,F,F,F,T,T,T,T (f=false, T=true) over the possible answers , you can use binary search. Usually People( even red coders, i have seen there submissions ) tend to use segment tree or BIT .
