WF in Luxor, Egypt update on region situation

Egypt seem to close their air space due to current situation in the region.

Those who are planning to attend Egypt for ICPC World Finals, be aware of this situation. Have no official references for the news by the moment, but it is better if someone recieve the news before departure.

Everything seems to be fine as of now. At least, our flight from Cairo tomorrow was not canceled yet. Other flights are departuring from the airport as well, according to the website.

The flights are closed for only Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon. This is the official statement from EGYPTAIR.

Luxor is very far away from the conflict, even if there was an actual war I think the WF will continue without any problems.

Our flight to Cairo (with Qatar transit) was canceled. I don’t know if there will be chance that me and altunyanv will be in Luxor :( Our third teammate must come from Dublin tomorrow.

After waiting two years we will not have chance to participate :’(
