i cant keep writing blogs on cheaters

Why Cheating in Contests is Slowly Draining My Motivation.
Dont code for rank.everyone knows rank's source is Gpt

  • I've been putting in everything — consistency, effort, late nights — just to get better at CP. But lately, it feels like no matter how well I perform, my rank doesn’t reflect the effort.

  • The reason? Cheating. And it’s becoming way too common. This is red text to highlight an important point!

  • It’s frustrating to see the leaderboard filled with perfect submissions that don’t add up. When you know people are copying code or using unfair means, it honestly makes you question why you’re trying so hard.
  • What hurts most isn’t just the rank — it’s the feeling that honest work doesn’t matter anymore.
Getting negative delta even if u come under 5k out of 15-20k participants?

LOL ranks doesnt matter if u are nt LGM

  • I really think Codeforces should consider something like what LeetCode does — delay the ratings by a few days, run plagiarism checks, clean things up before updating standings.
  • I’d rather wait 5–6 days for a fair contest result than see cheaters get rewarded instantly.

  • It’s not just about me. It affects everyone who’s trying to grow the right way. When cheaters rise up the ladder, the rest of us start feeling like effort isn’t worth it anymore.

  • Hope Codeforces takes this seriously. We need a clean, fair platform where performance actually means something.

Still, even with cheaters, if you keep practicing and keep getting better, you'll eventually get higher rating, so you shouldn't worry much about it.

NOTE: I'm not saying it doesn't make a difference, it does, but that doesn't mean that you'll not get better nor does it mean that your rating won't increase when you get better, it'll just be relatively slower.

You're right — consistent practice will always help in the long run, and I agree that rating will eventually catch up with skill. But there's more to it.

When 11,000 people participate and 1,000–2,000 of them are suspected cheaters, that’s not just “some noise” — that’s a huge chunk affecting the entire rating distribution. It creates an environment where genuine effort feels undervalued, especially for those still building confidence or aiming for milestones.

    Sure, we’ll keep grinding.

Yeah, it's honestly demotivating to see so many newbies at the top of the rankings. I really hope Codeforces will do something soon to detect and prevent AI or Telegram-based cheating.

yeah true now cf only uses similar solutions to detect cheating.
