Contests are getting pointless and all results are almost unofficial because of cheating and AI.

I hope someone do something for this :(

we need a report system for suspicious solutions and activities during contests.

and remember that you're solving problems to get better at problem solving and competitive programming, not for a pointless number (rating).

you know your own skills, so it doesn't matter if there are cheaters or not

keep training!

It's hard to evaluate your own skills. A few months ago I was ranking in top 2000 on Div 2 contests, now I'm lucky to be in top 10,000 consistently. I certainly feel I have been practicing and learning and have improved. Yet in every contest I have negative delta now and it feels like my progress is being stolen by lazy cheaters :(

Edit: and in addition, you have clowns like 2740 blatantly cheating, and still filling the editorial section with their yapping, climbing the ranks from noob to expert in a month while i'm stuck. It's incredibly frustrating and makes a toxic environment.

You were not able to solve more than A and B, that's why you are saying pointless contest. Grow up kid.

The authors are working very hard to ban cheaters, but Codeforces' current policy is still "innocent until proven guilty." Without changes like adding required verification, the cheating problem will only get worse, as even banned cheaters can easily return and LLMs getting better day by the day, making cheating harder and harder to detect. Checking the top 100 submissions in Div2-4, it feels like every second submission might be cheated. We either accept that Codeforces is more about fun than rating or make some drastic changes.

What do you mean pointless? Is your objective of solving problems to gain some rating on a virtual platform?
