Ardelion's blog

I've seen so many blog posts about cheating, but seeing the latest educational round, I'd say things are getting out of hand, mainly because for some odd reason cheating in codeforces doesn't have a very harsh punishment(discussed in this awesome blog post). I'd say participating in div2 contests is not as fun as before since you really don't have a chance against cheaters, best represented by my good friend theSkeleton who's got a max rating of 1899 because of these people.

p.s. Position 11 just cracks me up, my guy full-marked the contest in 6 minutes

I think this is really getting out of hand, I've personally never seen such amount of cheating as I did today. It may be related to the fact that educational rounds are designed to test your knowledge and who is better at this than ai?

These people cheating even in educational contests completely ignore the whole purpose of participating in competitive programming contests (especially educational ones). How do you even learn anything in this process?

Maybe they also ignore the purpose of their life?

Did A-E in less than 1hr and got placed > 500 ;-;

to be fair this A-E was easier than usual, but that is still crazy how people are solving things super fast

I admit, at first, I didn't want to believe that AI would, in the near future, be able to solve CF problems just because they are extremely convoluted and require multiple steps and observations. But after losing ~300 rating points over ~10 competitions due to cheaters, now I have to believe it. I guess cheaters are training ChatGPT and other LLMs and this have become a feedback loop. The better the AI is, the better it can be trained by cheaters to solve even more complex problems. In short, that is why I no longer want to compete here. This is getting ridiculous. Until there are some reporting features and stricter bans, the rating system will be completely broken.

I remember seeing someone solve A, B, and D in 6 minutes then getting immediately banned + account was disabled, was funny, but also a bit sad if I'm being honest
