Waiting for next round is in 2 weeks. Why?

Why is the next round in 2 WHOLE WEEKS BRUH??!? Is headquarters on break? Now I'm not saying I don't want them to be on break but if they aren't, why is the next round so far away when there is already a huge queue of rounds waiting. All I am asking for is a reason for the long wait; I'm not tryna put shame on anyone. Although if I did have to put shame on someone, it would have to be shsh for sleeping in today and skipping the round! Shame on shsh!

I remember there was a similar, very long gap a few months ago. It was eventually filled with a few contests, something like that might happen again
