I have been practicing my assessment exercises every day and taking exams regularly, but I feel like I have not made any progress for almost 3 months, and my rating has been going down during this time. Yesterday I dropped back to specialist. Do you have any advice on practicing?

I only started learning CP at the end of May this year, so it’s been about three months now. I can share my own experience from these three months. I think you should have some kind of motivation that pushes you to try harder. Dropping rating on Codeforces is totally normal — it doesn’t really reflect your overall ability. What truly matters is what you take away from each problem you solve, that’s the core of it. Keep trying, and good luck!

All I can say is just keep calm and continue solving. The rating graph (at least from my experience) does not necessarily yield a growth rate that's directly proportional to the amount of practice. As long as you are having fun solving problems, I think that's what matters the most.
