aThe advice:
"just solve problems"
fails because beginners:
~~~~~ ~~~~~ don't yet know what to learn from problems. ~~~~~ ~~~~~
.
. . Well as expected, I am getting downvotes for being gray...
But what about hearing the same truth from a Master’s Mouth? How to train: why it's not enough to just do a lot of tasks
Just solve more problems to learn what to learn from problems
you don't come out of a problem thinking "oh now i know how to do xyz". it's a gradual buildup of knowledge/experience. that's like saying babies shouldn't learn to speak by babbling because they don't know how to learn if "bab bab aaaaaaaaaaaaa" is an actual word
