Recently, I wrote a blog post about AI in competitive programming. I admit it was a radical opinion on a very controversial subject, also written a bit poorly. Now I feel that I didn't express my opinions correctly, but needless to say, I will probably advance down to the last page of https://mirror.codeforces.com/top-contributed if I post more about it...
As I got -23 rating, I saw that someone who just posted 8 words: "This is the dumbest blog I've ever seen" got +10. This is not how blogs are supposed to work! My friends who are all grey/green are too scared of posting even a single comment. When reading other blogs, I found that other newbies/pupils also feel the same. Admittedly, about 75% of their blogs are not useful/absolute trash, and I can tell that people felt the same way about my blog. However, downvoting every single newbie blog discourages the remaining 25% of people from posting valuable information!
If you don't like a blog, then actually give a good reason for downvoting it instead of just saying that it's dumb, because then it clearly seems like you are so dumb you can't even give a good opinion. In my last blog, about 5 people actually gave good opinions/advice while the rest looked like they were deliberately trying to ragebait me. A flamewar started, and it was just an absolute waste of time while the majority of the posters (including me and my friend) got negative contribution.
When you downvote all newbies, they are all too scared to even try, and you call them cowards. This is not acceptable.
It's time to put an end to this newbie/pupil hate. Just because someone has a lower rating than you doesn't mean they can't have any useful information to share. If you downvote all their blogs, then you are missing out on the fun part of learning from other people because you scared them so much they don't even feel safe to share information.
If you have any objections/want to downvote, actually give a good reason otherwise you are just proving my point.
Else, upvote if you agree!

On a brighter side (ahem, sarcasm), here are 4 dumb ways to die (I might be posting some every couple of weeks if you upvote!).
1. Inject arsenic into your vital organs using an unsterilised rusty needle.
2. Give yourself a paper cut using an old newspaper tipped with nuclear waste.
3. Jump into a boiling pot of chicken broth, and then climb out (half dead) into a yard filled with starving dogs.
4. (This actually happened) Load up on nothing but beans at a buffet, then go into an airtight toilet cubicle and gas yourself to death.

it seems like you people arent even reading the blog, and are just downvoting bc of my nickname colour. so you are basically proving my point

like if you click on something actually read it, i feel like ppl nowadays just click on grey/green blogs just to downvote them without even reading

all the greay/green posts that arnt downvoted are just cheater reports all the actual coding stuff is posted by blue, orange, purple, red people what is this discrimination?

like if you dont want to read a blog then dont even waste your time clicking on it some people are being deliberately toxic, they just want newbies to all have 0 or negative contrib until they get better. right now nobody with a low colour posts serious blogs, they are all either cheat reports or jokes (e.g. pay to win forces). they do it just to get contrib. they dont post content that helps the community bc they will be downvoted.

i understand that some people think this blog useless, but i posted this because they are downvoting blogs of actual value. if you give a good opinion against a blog, then downvoting it makes more sense. however, this is directed at people who downvote just based on colour.

for anyone who just says "get better":

you dont even have the courage to stand up against this issue.
you probably havent even posted a single blog.
i bet i can get to ur level in pretty soon, js that im inactive and i joined 3 months ago.

also, some people downvote just because i have negative contrib, which is just as bad.
