Hi, Round #288 was Div. 1 and Div. 2 yesterday.

What happened ? Now I see it's a Div .2 Only contest !

Is this a mistake ? Or plan changed ?

And one more thing changed — it was scheduled on Jan/26 yesterday, and now it is on Jan/27.

I think some problems of Codeforces Round #288 (Div. 1) had some bug so codeforces admins changed the contest:))

I believe, there are relevant reasons why announced schedule was changed, but announcement about the change would be nice too...

Yes, this is not a mistake. Due to some reasons we changed a schedule. Div1+Div2 round was moved to February 2nd, instead of it there will be a Div2 round on January 27th.

Round #290 will also be special since it is happening during the Petrozavodsk training camp and, as usual, we are going to reward top-N contestants from camp with Codeforces T-Shirts.

What are your opinions about making div2 rounds rated for div1 also ?

I would like that but high rated users will just have a typing test which is a bit bad... i mean this is programming not a typing test competition

Not necessarily. Div2 only D/E can be good sometimes.

you are right but most of the div 2 only contests don't have problems that reds cant solve for example the last contest. anyway i myself would like to have rated div 2 contests

Why not to make 3 Divisions?
        Like (<=1499), [1500,1900),(>= 1900)

No, just 1-st division is gray, green
            2-nd division is blue, purple
            3-rd division is yellow, red
I should write a blog about it.

No... Then there would be div1(gray,green) only contests which even less people would want to do

I think you can take 2 or 3 problems from Div. 2(blue, purple) and just make 2 or 3 easier problems.
                So you can do div.2 + div. 1 contests(or div. 2 + div. 3)
