Uh, well, most of us knew that before hand that there's a huge possibility that no such contest would be held...

I'd recommend that the CF Headquarters(MikeMirzayanov) should consider warning us before hand about such gimmicks...

          I meant that in the instance that someone makes 3 comments; if a user downvotes all 3 comments, the OP's contribution is decreased by 1, not 3. If multiple users downvote the same comment, the OP's contribution is decreased by the number of downvotes.

    All we have done is played simple trick on Codeforces as April Fools joke...what would April 1st be without a joke? :) And you want us banned? We have seen you cheat on contests, and haven't mentioned your ban yet!

      As the inventor of the idea of April Fools Day Contests and the author of the previous three rounds, I have to say I'm extremely disappointed with your primitive understanding of the whole "fun" concept.

      I realize that not everybody has what is necessary to run such a round. But have you considered that a trick like this might very well ruin the next April Fools contest? As in, people will think "yeah, we've seen the joke last year, you don't expect us to believe there really will be a contest again, do you"?

      To everybody else — I'm sorry I couldn't prepare the real contest this year; but between preparing VK Cup Wildcard and some other things going on I couldn't allocate time for this.

        What if when you finish preparing VK Cup, we get our April Fools Day Contest, although it will no longer take place on April Fools Day, it will be good to keep the tradition. :D

      It is not a "simple" trick. Your post can be regarded as are false impersonation. You are also fucking up people's schedule. You insisted that your "joke" is legit. No one would do that when making April fools joke. You clearly are a selfish person who have no border line.

      I don't demand that you be banned. But I would expect an apology.

Everyone, please calm down. Trophies put the post on his own blog, not on the main webpage. In addition, the April Fool's contest was not on the upcoming contests lists.. And the "You will have to find the contest" remark should have been a complete giveaway about the status of this competition.

If you guys are wondering, we did inform MikeMirzayanov about this prank via private-message before releasing it (though he did not reply, he read the message); I'm sure if he felt action was necessary he would have told us. This joke has no effect on future April Fools contests.. those will be advertised on the main page and will be shown in upcoming contests. And in no way did we "impersonate" anybody..

This joke was done in spirit of the day, April Fool's Day. We apologize for any inconveniences or consequences that this prank may have caused.. That was not our intent. If you want a nice set of April Fools Day problems to work on, check out the NIMO April Fool's Day Contest; I'm sure many of you will enjoy it. If you want to downvote us, we are okay with that.
