Hi, It happens to me when I connect to CF, to wonder who is online.This option is present in many sites and I think it can be just a plus if it is implemented here as well. Another thing is public chat, a place where the users can discuss in real time about the problems or other thing in general. This would be a reference for lower rated players, to ask unclear things to the higher rated coders :) I am suggesting these things because in this way the interaction between the users will rapidly increase , and of course when we talk between us we learn more.

In fact, the first thing you are talking about is already done. Go to user's profile (by clicking on his avatar or nickname) and look for 'last visit'.
What about chat, I think it can be useful, but I'd prefer answer in comment instead of chatting because it's easier to find something in structured content rather than in random discussion.
I know that, but in order to see if the user is online you have to first "find" his username, and this is basically why I wrote this post. If there was a tab "Online Users", now that would be different, and this is what I intended.
In the chat question, it is subjective, but I like more "real" time communication.
I think that there should be a place were you can find the editorial of every past contest, the only way I can do this now is by making binary search on the pages from the home section. I also think that there should be a mechanism for finding problems by tags, if the problems already have their tags I think it's not very difficult to add this feature
finding problems by tag is possible. go to problem set. find the tag you're looking for and click on it. all of the problems with that tag will be shown.
