GeniusCoder's blog

By GeniusCoder, history, 8 years ago, In English

I'm new to Codeforces, and I've been wondering the past few days how Codeforces got so popular. Does anybody know how?

Thanks in advance!

Ever since I've been on Codforces, I keep learning contribution the hard way... it keeps going down. :( XD

Really curious to know how your contribution fell so hard.

My first two blogs... I had to delete them because people kept downvoting. Why is Codeforces's community like this. My first blog was if I could get help on rating, contests, etc. Got downvoted a lot. That's why I'm mainly doing baekjoon right now.

If you are not a high rated coder then you should be highly careful before writing blog entries and comments.

That plays a small role. Besides that be sure that you do not ask something that's already "googlable". You can surely google about the contests and rating. Mike has a post explaining in detail how the algorithm works. So, making another blog about it is just redundant.
