Update: Issue is resolved. Thank you just9n for your help. I'm probably not going to make a blog for a while thanks to the 'encouragement' below.
I have two issues:
^ For those wondering where I got 2003 from...
As you can see, my join date is 49 years ago (2003?) !!! That isn't right, because my join date is around 2 months ago, on the 28th of July, 2018. This issue appeared around the time of this post, right after my first contest: Educational Codeforces Round 51 (Rated for Div. 2). Is there a fix?
Also, I don't appear in the rankings of my organisation: NITK , Surathkal. Is there a fix for that as well?
I know what you are talking about. I had the same issue. But the CF community refused to trust me when this happened. This happens when you try to edit the facebook id in settings. Just go to settings and click on facebook id and type random numbers and click on save. But probably this happens only on the local client and has no effect on the server. It probably changes cache or stores cookies because when you log in on the same pc again, it again shows the actual time of registration.
As far as the issue of not appearing in university ranking is concerned, you probably updated the university recently. It takes time. Just like the university rankings are not updated instantly after ratings change. It will eventually appear.
Thanks a lot! My university wasn't recently updated, but I'll give it time.
Also, does every single blog post need to be a proper contribution? I don't understand why I got downvotes on it. I just wanted a fix for the aformentioned and there doesn't seem to be an official channel for CodeForces support.
There is no set protocol for the Codeforces upvote and downvote system. If someone started with a downvote, people just keep downvoting and if someone started with an upvote, people keep upvoting. When I came across this 49 years issue first and mentioned in a blog, I got a ton of downvotes. I eventually deleted it. Consider yourself lucky with those 7 upvotes. xDDD
2018 — 49 = 1969. How did you come up with 2003 ?
