Does anyone know when the equipment and software that will be used in IOI 2019 will be published, and why have not they done so yet?

Your best bet is that it's going to be the same as last year's environment, with Acer laptops (since Acer is the official sponsor until 2021).

They are probably going to use a more stable version of CodeBlocks. In 2018, many contestants had problems with CodeBlocks crashing and this issue was discussed in GA meetings.

It was a very well known problem about codeblocks that day, so anyone using it, be ready to switch to something else.

      From the website:

If you need any other software not presented in the lists, or you have any problems or suggestions regarding the contest environment, please let the Host Technical Committee (HTC) know by 15 July by sending an email to htc@ioi2019.az. The HTC will review your request in terms of its conformance to the Competition Rules, technical feasibility, and the licenses to include new software.

Yeah, I saw it. I mean why the IOI committee didn't include VSC previous year while it was included in 2017?

I don’t know. I’m in International Committee which is not responsible for these decisions. You have a legitimate question (or rather a request for additional software), which you should direct at Host Technical Committee, and hopefully they’ll be able to answer it and/or comment if it would be feasible to add it to the list if you want it available.

So they used C++14 again? C++17 has been available for years now. Why do they still use C++14?

I wrote them an e-mail asking for the Editor Brackets, but they didn't answer me. This they respond to your e-mail?

Seems that they just note it down, but I don't think they would change an editor configuration.

Most IOI's announcement this year was late. So don't expect virtual machine to be available early.
