I just messed up Code Jam round 2 today and my Code Jam journey is done for the year, so I was wondering about Hackercup, but I didn't find any announcement on their Facebook page. So, can someone please confirm if it's announced somewhere and I missed it or just is it going to happen this year or not?

They haven't announced it yet. Last year, they made the announcement in January :/

Well bro I really hope they don't scrap it for the year, they maybe can host the Finals virtually as announced by Google for Code Jam :(
I guess they won't. The only thing stopping them right would probably be the increased load on their applications, the effects of which I hope they would alleviate soon. Let's see.
As of now no particular notice of any details regarding hackercup have been announced. But i guess it won't be postponed this year.

I am not suggesting but generally hackercup team generally releases contest dates atleast 2 months prior. But as no announcement had made i guess it will be cancelled this year.
I really wish they announce it soon, because I think it still might be possible to host it.
Anyways I know, I'm not really being practical, mostly because I really wanna give that contest :(
Guys, genuine request, is there anyone here who maybe works at Facebook and can please comment on this with some authentic information, it'd be really helpful!
And if someone knows people working at Facebook who might have some related information, please tag them so that they notice the blog and hopefully reply.

I'm thinking that many of the people in Facebook, even if they had access to the internal decisions, wouldn't be allowed to share such information without special permission. Regardless, I hope this contest will happen this year!
