Hello Codeforces

Every year big companies like Google and Facebook organize many programming contests, like Google hash code, Google code jam, Facebook hacker cup... I was wondering, is it really true that top contestants are offered jobs/internships at these companies? someone told me that this year everyone who reached Facebook hacker cup round 3 were offered internships and every one who reached the onsite contest got a job offer at Facebook. Can anyone please confirm or deny that? Please share your knowledge with the community.

Companies definitely use their programming contests as a recruiting tool, using them to find interview candidates. I highly doubt companies would hire directly from a contest result without even talking to the person: If you participate/do well in a contest, what's more likely is you'll be looped into the recruiting process like most other people. Of course, if you did well in a contest, any technical rounds might be somewhat of a formality.

I can answer that at least technically both your statements are not true. I have won Round 3, but I didn't get neither internship nor job offer. I might have opt out of receiving them, I don't remember.

But you said in some of your comments that you are smarter than anyone here and also worth more than thousand cyans , you defeated tourist by 1 whole question , so why ma boi didn't got ?

I can answer that at least technically both your statements are not true.

Is not your first statement contradicts with last :

    I might have opted out

If you are not sure that you opted out or not , isn't you first statement absurd.

Obviously, because he opted out from that. Do you really think ,there exists any CS institution that can reject a legendary grandmaster.

There are 100 of countries, that hasn't produced even a single lgm until now. He is a lot more valuable.

Your hate will do no harm to him.

Every GCJ finalist is offered an onsite interview during finals. That being said, getting hired by a big company is much much easier than being top25 in the world in a big competition (even just once by luck) so I don't recommend a mindset "I want to get Google so my goal is getting to GCJ finals". It's like winning some strength/running-related Olympics in order to become military just because you're scared of some fitness test.

The exact wording in my form was more along the lines of "you might be called for an interview if Google decides they have the availability to do it", which I thought was weird as it sounded like they were doing some sort of big favor by (considering) interviewing the finalists.
