if IOI2013 problems were codeforces problems what do think the most appropriate rank for those problems?
in my opinion:
Dreaming: Div1 B/Div2 D
Art Class: Div1 C/Div2 E
Wombats: Div1 D
Cave: Div1 B/Div2 D
Robots: Div1 C/Div2 E
Game: Div1 C/Div2 E
please share your opinion.
Art Class would not be a CodeForces problem.
yes, but one can assign a rank for it just for showing the difficulty of this problem
I don't know. I feel like they're incomparable. IOI and CF problems have different styles I think...
Well, I think this is true only with "art class" and "cave" but the others are normal problems
Oh.. Game and 4 more problems without feedback are as easy as two-hour div two contest without tokens for you .. Where can I join your fan club?
please share your opinion if disagree with me
well, I disagree with your point. It seems you're really genius and can solve those problems in seconds, but as for a normal guy like me, those problems are not that simple.
My opinion:
Dreaming: Div1 B/Div2 D
Art Class: Div1 D
Wombats: Div1 E
Cave: Div1 C/Div2 E
Robots: Div1 C/Div2 E
Game: Div1 E
thanks for your opinion
Many people are surprised of my opinion , actually I think IOI2013 problems are the easiest year than other previous years.
also I want to say that a lot of Div1 D and Div1 E problems in codeforces are very harder than IOI problems
for example what problem do you think is easier IOI2013 dreaming or 288D - Polo the Penguin and Trees ?
note that both problems are related to trees
Polo the Penguin and Trees is Div1 D problem. Nobody said that dreaming from ioi2013 is as hard as div1 D problem.
After 10 (5+5) hours of solving with full feedback, nobody did full score on IOI 2013, even IGMs from CF. I don't think that IOI 2013 problems are easier than Div1 round. I think, if you give 5 hours and full feedback for almost any div1 round, at least 1 IOI 2013 participant will make full score.
Well, 5 hours with out full feedback for first dat, to be honest :)
How do you mean full feedback? Did you was able to see your final result during the contest?
Yes, can submit your solution and the grading system tells you how many points you have for the submitted solution. But on the first competition date, the grading systems were slow. I think I had no feedback at all in the last hour... :(
You should consider that 2 hours only is making div1 Round is harder
But there is nothing about time in your comment. You just said that div1 problems are harder than IOI 2013. IMHO, in 2 hour contest it is almost impossible to solve Game, Wombats, Cave and Art Class. As you wrote in post:
Game — div1 C
Wombats — div1 D
Cave — div1 B
Art Class — div1 C.
They are a harder than div1 problems.
Well, I was just replying to this sentence
if you give 5 hours and full feedback for almost any div1 round
anyway, if you want to compare IOI contest with codeforces div1 contest , you should compare them as IOI contest has 5 hours and codeforces contest has 2 hour
but if you want to compare between problems ,then you shouldn't consider the time nor the feedback
Edit: also when I'm giving a codeforces rank to IOI problem I'm just showing the difficulty of these problems(in my opinion) , not making them in a codeforces contest
Here's what I think:
Dreaming: 3/5 stars
Art class: 4/5 stars
Wombats: 5/5 stars
Cave: 2/5 stars
Robots: 3/5 stars
Game: 4.5/5 stars (3 stars without the final subtask introduced in the night before the competition)
And I don't like comparing apples to bananas. Specifically when one of the task wouldn't ever appear in CF Round. Hence, stars.
thank you for your opinion.
BTW, I prefer bananas more than apples :)
