This unusual and difficult 2020 has come to an end! What will the new year be like? I wish all of us that we have the opportunity to meet in person so that the contests take place not only online. I ask you to think of something important and good. Let this wish come true!

Change Handle Feature
Hurry! Only until the 10th of January, you can change your handle (but only once)! Note that it will be possible to roll back the changes or change the handle again only after a year. Be careful what you wish for.
You can change your handle to the new one which wasn't used before by anybody or which was used by you before. The links to a profile page with an old handle would automatically redirect to the actual profile.
Again, this year if you took part in at least 10 rounds you can request a handle of an inactive participant. It means that the participant should have a period of activity on Codeforces of at most 180 days, this period should be in 2017 or earlier. The inactive participant can't have posted comments, messages and so on. It can't take part in more than 2 contests. It will be automatically renamed and informed by email. A user has the opportunity to request back his/her handle: in this case, we will roll back the change and return your previous handle to you. If you can't change your handle to another, it means that some requirement doesn't meet. Please do not ask me to do something with it. Especially, I do not like requests like "this is my second account, I took an interesting handle myself". I'm not Santa Claus.

Be careful what you wish for. Don't ignore this part like me. I was so angry to myself because of last few contests so i just made my handle cop which means trash in turkish.

It would be nice if you could take the handle of an account which has never been logged into, even if the account was created recently. I created an account with my desired handle in 2019, but there was an issue with the confirmation email and I couldn't log into the account, so I had to make a different one with a new email and my current handle. Now I have to wait until 2022 to get my handle back :(

Suppose there is a handle name IJKL (Notice the capital
I) and another handle name LJKL. If someone frequently change LJKL to lJKL (Notice the smallL) then it will be too confusing for others. Also it makes easy to fool people.That's the issue with current system as well. If we have two people capital I and small l We won't be able to figure out the difference
Frequently changing the case is more confusing I think.

I'd like to thank for the special gifts from Codeforces. It is really interesting to see so many IGM and LGM users and I love the colorful Codeforces!
There was a contest called "Good Bye 2020", and I wonder if there is going to be another contest called "Hello 2021" recently. I didn't join in the contest called "Good Bye 2020" because of the time (even though I made virtual participation). That's why I really want to meet one another contest during the short holidays.

I think the handle Weasel should be treated as an inactive user, but when I try to change my handle to weasel, the message "This handle is currently in use" occurs. Is there someone knows why?

Sorry for what I am going to tell you guys. In our muslim religion we dont beleive that There js any Santa in real life. All kind of good and bad luck comes from Allah.
But you put an option before confirmation the Handle feature that " Do you believe Santa is in real life". If we dont confirm the Handle wont change.but believing in Santa in totally against our beliefs. Please dont do this..I am sorry If anything from me hurts you..

Some people (me too) may not believe in Santa Claus for religious faith. But they've to confirm the speech against their faith while changing color though they don't believe it in their mind. As CF is a global platform, it should be liberal to all faiths.
