I am shown 79+ in Educational Codeforces Round 108 (Rated for Div. 2) but i get only 50+ after actual rating changes happen.

Yes, same thing happened to me. It seems like the predictor somehow takes the div 1 participants in consideration too when calculating the rating, even though it is rated only for div 2.
Cf predictor show incorrect delta changes many times.
Instead use this extension : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/carrot/gakohpplicjdhhfllilcjpfildodfnnn?hl=en
This one gives more accurate rating changes.
CF predictor is not really "broken". For yesterday's contest, it was considering our rating from 2 contest back. When I visited the site, it showed that i was rated 1998 instead of 1873. Maybe it's due to these rating roll-backs that are happening.
Yes, that must be the issue. Neither my friends' rating or mine are up-to-date.
Try using carrot. Works fine.
