I am not able to share the virtual camera of OBS on zoom. How to fix this issue? I tried leaving and re-entering zoom, but that's not working.

Same issue with me in windows, also Using OBS made my system very slow.
On a MacBook Air 2017, my CPU utilisation is ~80%. I have honestly never heard my fan run until today.
For those that are not getting the option to start virtual camera in OBS on ubuntu
sudo snap connect obs-studio:kernel-module-observe
sudo apt -y install v4l2loopback-dkms v4l2loopback-utils
echo "options v4l2loopback devices=1 video_nr=13 card_label='OBS Virtual Camera' exclusive_caps=1" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/v4l2loopback.conf
echo "v4l2loopback" | sudo tee /etc/modules-load.d/v4l2loopback.conf
sudo modprobe -r v4l2loopback
sudo modprobe v4l2loopback devices=1 video_nr=13 card_label='OBS Virtual Camera' exclusive_caps=1
OBS made my system lag that much that it would take whole time to just code up a Div2 A problem.
I am using Hp-elitebook 840 g4 (i7, 16gb ram) still my system is lagging too much, compiling c++ code takes around 30 seconds
Unable to share webcam through OBS (it shows blank) and system is lagging a lot.
Proctoring platform needs to be
changedremoved.changedremoved.Fixed thanks
Lol, great. But the point is how to make kanpur agree with this.
The virtual camera took over the actual camera in my laptop :(
I removed OBS but, the camera's gone :feelssadman:
Wish I had registered for Gwalior-Pune

Anyone with similar issue ? I was doing all the screen recording etc for straight 2 hrs and boom. System stopped working. Had to restart allover.
To spice things up, the rule book says: "A contestant is not be allowed to participate/rejoin the contest if he disappears/disconnect from the Zoom room for more than 5 Minutes."
Lol, The rule book almost said, "Setup 3 cameras in the room."
LoL, I waited for 1 hr+ and no breakout room was assigned. And just a few hours before mock they have sent some shitty rule-book with so many requirements. Poor management.
Is anybody facing recursion like issue while using obs camera to share video on zoom ? I am using ubuntu, can somebody help me fix it ?
Did anyone noticed, there is a word limit for sending each message in zoom chat:(
Guess that makes sense, so that people can't send code to each other
In rules, it has been given that the team members can share code among themselves only using zoom chat.
Yeah. Code files. Not text. People using VM face problems due to this.
I bet everyone who unfairly criticized CodeDrills is feeling pretty dumb now lol
I think those who faced even a single issue during the mock round should mail to icpc@gla.ac.in with their concerns. Maybe doing so will bring the attention of authorities to the potential issues.
Issues (if people want to mail, they can send these issues, plus add their own if any):
"Some proctors didn't assign breakout rooms on time" I think this issue is much bigger than it looks. Proctors in our room were completely unprepared about what to do, even as close to 1730hrs and after it. We weren't able to discuss the problems because other team participants were also present in the same meeting. Not only that, even after breakout rooms was assigned, other team members were still present in our room. To the point where our proctor was telling us, 15mins into the contest, that our team is in the wrong meeting and we should leave and rejoin the correct meet.
Of course, in the mock contest with trivial problems it doesn't matter. But, in real contest, all I want is peace of mind at least five minutes before the contest starts. Don't care what your rules are, just let me read the problems and attempt the contest peacefully!
In our team case, Zoom gave me a notification to update Zoom to latest version, which for some reason automatically closed the ICPC Zoom meeting. I didn't even click on Yes, nevertheless I tried joining the Zoom meet again and waited 20+ minutes but nobody let me in. Very dissatisfied with ICPC Kanpur
if someone is still facing the issue, try quiting the zoom and turning on the obs virtual camera, and ater turning the obs virtual camera, start the zoom.
This fixed the issue for me.
Did anyone get login credentials yet?
Not yet
Is there any way to use some whiteboard or its equivalent?
