Hello, I have searched for a correlation between MBTI personality types and CPers but I haven't found an answer so, I am gathering statistics to see what are the most common personality types from CPers. You can divide personality types into 16 categories which makes up 4 letters(I/E,S/N,F/T,P/J). As a reference, here is the percentage of each personality type world-wide:

For you to know which personality type you are, try the test here. It takes around 20 minutes to complete it. If you already know it, you can skip this step.

Finally, fill this form and please be honest in your answers. You will only be asked to pick your personality type corresponding with a rating range.

I will share statistics within a few days.

Note: Each letter corresponds to what you mostly are more. Example:

I: Introvert, E: Extrovert

S: Sensory, N: Intuition

T: Thinking, F: Feelers

P: Perceiving, J: Judging

My guess is that no matter the rating INTx will prevail, since these types are the ones who like solving problems the most

That is my same guess. But I know some INFJs who are good at CP too. Well, what I am nearly sure is INxx will dominate xD.

ENTP here but I'm actually an ambivert

UPD: Did the test again on a different day with some different responses(more accurate after thinking deeply, therefore taking much longer than before) and still got ENTP. Btw it shows very good match with both ENTP and INTP(52% extrovert, the remaining traits were very lopsided with at least 66%) so that confirms my ambivert nature I think.

What a coincidence. I just knew the MBTI recently and it made a lot of sense at least for me. I’m INTP and I guess T is the most related feature for CP.

Yeah, MBTI too op. Idk why it is not as popular as the trash horoscopes which is a placebo effect. In fact, T is important for logical reasoning(like proofing why your solution is correct) which is important in CP. But intuition makes you get the idea from the first place(which is also pretty important). That is why intuition and thinking both are needed in CP.

Going down the rabbit hole, MBTI is just an add-on for better comprehension. It's built upon Carl Jung's cognitive functions. Basically, every person has their 4 functions, 2 perceiving and 2 judging. Judging functions are feeling and thinking, perceiving are sensing and intuiting. Every function can be extraverted or introverted.

So in total there are 8 functions, you have 4. These 4 functions have a hierarchy: dominant(the one you use the 90% of the time), auxiliary(it supports your dominant function), tetriary(you don't use this much, usually it's sort of relief function), and inferior(you use it even less, they often call it "aspiring", since it can lead you to some breakthrough). There are also shadow functions(that's where other 4 go and they're the most interesting), but I suggest you reading it yourself.

T in xxTx comes from having thinking as a dominant or auxiliary function. Either it's extraverted Thinking(making decisions about the external world using objective facts) or introverted Thinking(making decisions based on data, categories, and theories inside your mind) Since you're INTP, you can probably relate to latter a lot, since it's your dominant function. For INTJs, which would be 2nd most popular on codeforces(my guess), extraverted thinking is their auxiliary function, their dominant function is introverted intuiting(usually it's your "gut", it's when you get insights from nowhere, ones that get positive delta on guessforces rounds)

Anyway, I think once you're established with MBTI, you can start digging information about cognitive functions, which is, in my opinion, a treasure for understanding yourself and others.

How is that even related

taking this serious is like taking zodiac sign serious and think that is related to love

You are INTX doesn't guarantee you are a good CPer

You are not Intuition also doesn't means that you have no future in CP

There's a 4chan meme description of those personality types. Let's see what it says about the highest result!

INTP: ">tfw too intelligent"

"Once went one week without showering or going outside. Wants to clone himself so neither of them will be virgins."

Why is there such a big difference between the extroverts and the introverts....i mean ENTP and INTP should have mostly characteristics almost similar right?? cause the inrtovert nature is always there...

Well, one thing to mention is the samples aren't randomly picked. As an INTP I can assume why we're dominating the result according to our so called "traits" aside from liking CP: being present in forums, having interests in mbti, etc.
