Women are given 33%,even 50%, reservation in political and competitive seats in many places and fields. why aren't they given 50% reservation in the job where they have to clean sewers. look you have 0 coals so you will need k steps for k coals.Now as for the sticks you need k sticks to match the coals for conversion into torch.You also need k*y sticks extra so they can be converted into coals later.So, total you need to add (k*y+k-1) sticks extra(since you already have one stick). Now in every trade for sticks you gain x-1 sticks,so, number of steps required is :- (val/(x-1))+min((int)1,(val%(x-1))) where val is (k*y+k-1). So,total no. of steps is (k+(val/(x-1))+min((int)1,(val%(x-1))))

yes div3 is easier than div2 and don't worry about your low rating .Initially you start from 0 according to the new rules but over a span of 5 contests you are provided with 1500 extra rating (500 rating is added for the first round which you have already given xD).

Look u have to find frequency of the number occuring most number of times. now find total how many numbers are there having this frequency int val=n-maximum_frequency-(count of numbers having maximum frequency -1) val/(maximum_frequency-1) will give the right answer .

Let us see this with 2 different examples {1,2,3,1,2,5,1,2,8,1} Here the maximum frequency is 4 and the number having this frequency is 1 so we can see answer will be 2 Now lets take change the example a bit {1,2,2,1,2,5,1,2,8,1} Here the maximum frequency is 4 and the numbers having this frequency are 1 and 2 so now you can see the answer becomes 1 {1,2,1,2,5,1,2,8,1,2} can be one solution reason is that 1 has maximum frequency so we arrange array like 1....1....1...1 we put 1 at both ends to maximize the distance and put other elements between 1s but when 2 also has frequency 4, two 2s will start falling between two 1s(something like 1,2,2,1.... So,every time we encounter another number having maximum frequency we need to put it at last (something like {1,2,1,2,5,1,2,8,1,2}) Look at the first test case for a bit of clarification

look bro maximum answer will never exceed 2 ,according to your technique it will exceed 2. for a={3 2 5 4 6 1 7} {3},{5},{6,1} will become three sets but answer should be 2. in 1st step:-{3 2 5 4 6 1 7}->{5 4 6 2 1 3 7}(taking from position 1 to 6 as sub array) in 2nd step:-{5 4 6 2 1 3 7}->{1 2 3 4 5 6 7}(taking from position 1 to 6 as sub array ) so, the basic point is if number of sets is more than 1 answer will be 2 always Hope u understood..

Looking at your current rating two questions should definitely do the job and sometimes, if the second question is little bit tough then solve the first question quickly to avoid rating decrement.
