From Zero to First Contest — My Start in Competitive Programming

Hey, I am Sachin, a BCA student.

I have been trying to learn DSA since last year. Honestly, I left it 4 times, and this is my 5th attempt. But this time feels different because I can finally think a little in DSA. Not a lot yet, since I just started seriously again, but I think I will make it.

Recently, I found Codeforces through a YouTuber. I made an account, then disappeared for almost 6 months because of procrastination. Now I have started again, and this time I want to stay consistent.

A few days ago, I gave my first Div. 2 contest. I was able to solve Question A easily, but after that, every problem looked very hard. Still, solving even one problem in a contest felt good because earlier I could not even imagine participating.

Right now, I am doing both DSA and CP and trying to solve 2–3 questions daily.

If you are a beginner like me, or if you have been delaying starting, then just start. Even little progress feels motivating after some time.

Thanks.
