Honestly such a good read and relatable blog
It was really nice to watch you grow and improve during the past 3 years. Seeing you push through your big rating drops inspired me to persevere through some of mine as well. Wish you the best of luck on your uni apps <3
Oh my goddd cutecus wrote a blog  I must read it 10 times now
^-^~ <3
10/10 read <3
I liked reading your view a lot. I've definitely had many of the same sentiments you express — not enjoying enough to focus with ease but spending very long hours practicing, primarily relying on motivation of contest rankings, having my self happiness largely dependent on rankings,
complaining to people around me about my rankings too much, enjoying some parts of CS/CP to a decent degree but not feeling I truly enjoy it, etc.Good to see you found something you seem to feel more truly passionate about. I'm still looking for something I can do hours on end feeling fun the whole time...
Excellent read... very introspective!
amazing blog :)
When I saw that it was written by a newbie, I was sure that it was nothing good, but I decided to read it anyway. I can safely say that my assumption was wrong. "Do not judge the book by its cover." as they say.
It is a very well written blog and quite thought provoking. Definitely worth a read. Would be nice if more people would post blogs like that. Hope that you are doing well and are enjoying the path you choose!
He's not newbie. Open his profile
I know. It's just that I did not check his profile when I originally saw the blog post, just his color. That's why I initially assumed that he is a newbie.
Excellent blog. Indian students have a very similar situation, JEE is the equivalent of CCO here. Its not competitive programming, but the story of most students is quite similar to what you have described, this felt very relatable.
