What is happening with CodeForces and Polygon now?

Both sites every other time give A timeout occurred Error code 524 or load the page for $$$30+$$$ seconds.

Polygon almost all the time has Invokers waiting: 0. Problem statements cannot be previewed in HTML, nor in PDF. Validator tests are permanently in queue. Packages fail to build with the message Can't compile source file '<filename>': Can't receive answer from compilation service.

This started for me about $$$2$$$ hours ago.
