Going through something similar rn. I was dating this girl and I totally fell in love, we liked each other so I told her to be more than friends but she wasn't so sure, a couple weeks later she started to be more distant then we agreed to stop talking.

The pain was inmense, I really really loved her but that's life man. It's through overcoming painful situations that we grow. Have an honest conversation with yourself why it hurts so much. In my case I was going through a bad time in my life and she was the only good thing I had. When I lost her I realized I just can't let other's people approval dictate my value. Focus on yourself and good things eventually come
