This is kind of off-topic, why are comments insulting other people's families or religions on Codeforces blogs so frequent nowadays? I know there will always be trolls, but recently I feel like the number of such trolls has increased and they hijack almost every blog and start discussing politics, religion etc. For example, this guy's blog / productivity diary where he was sharing what he did during that week (which I think is a really good thing for Codeforces blogs, and on topic) got hijacked by the trolls: https://mirror.codeforces.com/blog/entry/127477, and I've seen a few other blogs too, which got hijacked by such trolls, and got deleted. There were some trolls before too, but recently the percentage has increased significantly.

Just splashed like 10 complaints just from this post, I hope the admins wouldn't suspect me abusing color rights because of this.

Can't believe that this is what I'd say 4 years after my previous active period. Like, ironically speaking, they make me miss the days of the likes of "trolls" as Lance and such.

UPD: Woah, the trolls are actually removed there. Much appreciated.

It's unfortunate to hear that you're experiencing an increase in such behavior on Codeforces blogs. There could be several reasons for this trend. One possibility is that as online communities grow larger, they can attract a wider range of individuals, including those who seek to disrupt or cause conflict.

Another factor could be the anonymity and distance provided by the internet, which can embolden some people to behave in ways they might not in face-to-face interactions. Additionally, contentious topics like politics and religion can easily spark heated debates and attract attention, leading to more trolling behavior.

It's essential for online communities to have robust moderation systems in place to address such behavior effectively. Encouraging positive contributions and fostering a culture of respect and constructive discussion can also help mitigate the impact of trolls. If you're concerned about this issue on Codeforces, consider reaching out to the platform moderators or administrators to discuss possible solutions.

You can easily game this system, by just copying 5 problems (right now, the alts copy one problem, but after that, they can just copy 5).
