How do i go to 1400??

Hi, I am trying to become 1400+ before the end of this month. I am unsure how to do it. In the last contest, I messed up a <1200 rated question, and my rating was affected significantly. I wanted some advice from people out there.

Here are the things I wanted to know 1. How should I practice the problems? 2. How to approach problems in contests?

The best practice would be to solve 1400-1500 rated questions from recent contests to learn and master binary search and bitmasks.

Select Problems Randomly: Choose questions randomly from recent contests without looking at tags. This ensures exposure to a variety of problems.

Give 100% Effort: Focus completely on each question. Spend 30-40 minutes trying to solve it, making observations and developing ideas.

Use Editorials Wisely:

If you're stuck for more than 40 mins , refer to the editorial. Read it line by line, taking hints and thinking more, rather than reading the solution at once. Implement the solution without looking at the code. Reflect on Key Observations: After solving, reflect on the key observations that led to the solution and think about how you could have made those observations.

Progress Gradually: After solving at least 25 problems rated 1400, move on to 1500 rated problems, and so on.

Participate in Virtual Contests: Analyze your performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies for contests. Focus on your mindset and what to do if things go wrong.

Track Your Progress: Keep track of your practice, noting down your thoughts, strategies, and areas of difficulty.

Stay Focused During Contests: Don’t think about your rating during the contest. Just give your best effort.

Continuous Improvement: Keep grinding. Don’t aim to be ideal; give your best and let your best become ideal.
