As you may have already noticed, tourist has reached the symbolic milestone of 4000 rating points. This is the first time in the history of competitive programming. I, personally, and the entire Codeforces team, congratulate Gennady tourist Korotkevich on this incredible achievement!
Right now, we have assigned a new rank “Tourist” to the 4+ rating. This highlights the uniqueness of the moment!
However, in the future, I would like to change this name to something a bit more neutral (or leave it Tourist?). Would you help me with this?
I’d appreciate your cool suggestions in the comments!

It is suggested that the person who ranks first in the ranking list should take turns to get the "champion" rating, not for those who rank > = 4000.

The problem is that "super" sounds less impressive than "legendary".
An idea could be to move Legendary Grandmaster to 4000+ and rename the current LGM rank (3000+) to Super Grandmaster.
Yes, it would be a really nice idea to have "Super Grandmaster" for 3000+ and "Legendary Grandmaster" for 4000+.
Then tourist gains nothing but to upset other LGMs.
In the end, everybody keeps their rating and their position on the leaderboards. As such, I'm not sure if anyone would be realistically upset by this change, unless they really don't like the new rank name. For me at least, Super GM is a catchier title than Legendary GM.
LGM should be moved up. There is no way that 50+ people here are "legendary." Out of all the LGMs, the average cf user might recognize 5 of them and consider just 1 or 2 to be truly legendary.
Look at the game florr.Legendary is much weaker than Super.

Well we do have to compete with the judge, who I guess is a machine. But yeah, don't compare chess rating and codeforces ratings. In Codeforces you face off against hundreds or thousands of people in every contest and 20 in your pool for hacking. Plus they are completely different things.

Actually the rank title is "tourist" (you can see this in the max rating section).
However Codeforces capitalizes the first letter in the official title. This is true for other ranks as well.

I think after 4000 every one should assign their username as their rank name

I think 4,000 points is a height that almost everyone can't reach. Therefore, it is fitting that they should be named after them, as unattainable as God.

I want to share a puzzle what do you think about it if you can solve please post answer in comments — A man works on the 10-th floor and takes the elevator down to ground level at the end of the day. Yet every morning, he only takes the elevator to the 7th floor, even when in a hurry. But he goes all the way to the 10-th floor when others are in the elevator with him or it is a rainy day. Why?

No because,He is too short to reach the 10th button . But when others are with him, he can ask them to push the button for 10th floor. On a rainy day, he has an umbrella, so he can press the button using that.

Okay, so, tourist has achieved an incredible rating, which is extremely difficult to reach. However, I'm against naming the rank beyond 4K as 'Tourist'. It wouldn't be fair, considering that Gennady isn't leading by a huge margin over jiangly and other top competitive programmers. In just a few contests, others might cross the 4K mark too. It wouldn't be right for them to get the 'Tourist' handle.
I acknowledge that tourist has contributed immensely to the CP community and is truly the GOAT, but jiangly and others aren't far behind either.
Additionally, another reason is that a position, handle, or award is usually named after someone much later, often posthumously, as a way for the world to remember them. tourist is still alive, with many more milestones to achieve, and I pray that he reaches 5000, 6000, and even higher. That's why I'm against it—he has more to go and accomplish more. I have full respect for tourist, and like me, many students started competitive programming after being inspired by his Codeforces profile. For years, he has been the one who inspired many students to pursue CP and work hard. He is truly a GOAT.
As for the handle color, it should be golden—something illustrious, like Discord Nitro, to signify the prestige of reaching this rank.
If I were to suggest some rank names, they might be:
Pioneer Grandmaster (for being the first to reach 4K)
Supreme Grandmaster
Eternal Grandmaster
Infinity Grandmaster

I think it's best to use one's own name as the title，tourist is a unique legend, so it should be used as the title. Of course, if Jiangly also reaches 4000 rating in the future, it can be directly used as a title. Including all players on the leaderboard who over 3000 rating. It feels like I'm watching Luffy's new gear! I suggest keeping the LGM, but for those with a rating 4k+, they should have the option to choose their own handle. This lead to more interesting handles. For example, if I ever reach 4k+, I’d want my handle to be "who-where-why!"

I suggest to call everybody with >=3500 a Champion, that is like 10 people if we look at the leaderboard. And everybody with rating >=4000 should have his/hers rank (their name), only a small number of people will ever be >=4000 so this would be as respect. (Also I feel like tourist as the first person to be >4000 should decide what the name of the rank should be)
