Recently the AI hype also has gone into the heart of competitive programming. I guess we will get used to seeing the use of AI tools more and more to gain more ratings in contests. Although I believe that necessary measures will be taken against the use of any kind of AI tool, there will not be a way to get around cheaters. Participants will cheat in any way if they have the intention and the assess to those highly performant AI models. In fact, these issues mostly depend on the ethics of the participants. The AI has started taking its toll on CP world as well. The "competitive" nature of competing in online contests has somewhat declined, discouraging the participants, especially newcomers. I don't believe the AI will influence the people who really loves (if they do) problem solving in general and are not too much obsessed about the ratings. But anyway, if we are afraid of a lion catching you, then you only need to run faster than the slowest person (unless the slowest person is you). People will compete just like they did prior to AI era. Just compete against the legitimate participants and let AI cheaters secure supposedly "high" spot in rankings.
