Hello everyone!
Some of you are using Codeforces to host private onsite contests. When doing so, you may want to give extra time to a participant due to technical reasons (maybe they had a problem with their PC so they lost some time from the contest).
Previously it was only possible to increase contest duration for everyone, but now you can do this selectively.
Navigate to the contest registrants page, and you will see all the contestants and will be able to add extra time there, given you are the contest manager.

We would like to know if there are any issues with this new feature, so let us know if you encounter any.
PS: Also, similarly to previously implemented feature for comments you can now change your vote on a blog post within a minute.

This would be the better thing for those participant those who can be face the problem on their PC...
Will other people be able to see who got extra time?, also ti might be useful to add a "reason" section for other contestants to see, So that they know why someone was given extra time.
Yes, it is going to be shown as +minutes after your username as you can see in the screenshot, that's how its going to be shown in the standings as well
Both of the updates are useful. Hope next time our coach could use this new feature instead of ignoring our technical issues...
It's funny when CloudFlare blocked all of us included coach himself, he didn't held the contest again even none of us could have the chance to read even the title of the problems.
chanse -> chance
Can I ask for another improvement with regard to private contest?
If the contest format is set to ICPC, then we can click on the verdict on the status page and see a summary of verdict, time used, memory used, and checker comment for each test case.
But if the contest format is set to IOI, then we can still click on the verdict to see a summary, but there is no time, memory used or checker comment. Note that I haven't tested it without subtask, but with subtask this is the case. This happen even if the subtasks' feedback policy is set to ICPC or COMPLETE.
I don't think this is the intended behaviour, if the feedback is set to complete then participant should get complete feedback including checker comment that can help with finding issues. (How much information the checker gives can be decided by the author).
Can you make it works so the info show up for IOI format contests? If you can't make it work for participants, maybe it can still be shown to managers or shown on top of submission page in the judge protocol part?
Another thing, is it possible to implement score distribution in private contest?
Nice feature
It is also possible to set extra time to negative value. So, you can 'punish' some of the participants. For instance, if someone asks a stupid question they lose 5 minutes of contest time :)
If someone is stupid as I am (I spent several minutes trying to use this new feature): In order to set extra time you have to click on 'Set extra time (minutes):'.
Yes, negative values should also behave properly
Just pressing Enter after typing the number should also work
Grate update!!!
Love it.
Good feature Love it.
contest gods listening at last
wow this is good
What about penalty?
I mean, if i have technical issues and get extra 10 minutes, and i finish problem A at 90 minutes, my final time will be 90 or 80?
If it's 90,will there be another update to manage this setting so that i can calculate my penalty as 80?
