I know I'm going to get a lot of downvotes, but I want to say this.
I've seen many times that people give a normal blog written by a low-rated person a lot of downvotes for no reason, but if the same blog is written by a master or grandmaster, everyone gives it a lot of upvotes, and this is very annoying. The first thing people look at in CF blogs is the rating of the person who wrote the blog, and then they read the blog with a positive or negative opinion, or sometimes they don't even read the blog and only give it a upvote or downvote. This is not good at all. We should give blog a upvotes or downvotes for itself, not the person who wrote it.
I hope things will get better in the new year.

Of course, I only gave you an upvote for this blog because you are a candidate master...
Now You are a CM and you can enjoy upvotes :)

U forgot the codeforces newbie
Respectfully, I disagree to some extent. There is some ratism, but not nearly enough to account for all of the correlation between rating and votes.
I will make the following conjecture without proof but somebody else is free to do an analysis if they want: cheaters get downvoted much more than legitimate participants of the same rating. Indeed, this would make sense if votes are correlated with level rather than rating, because people of a stronger level are more likely to post higher quality content.
(Just to reiterate, I don't completely disagree with you. There is some ratism, for sure. But at the same time, people shouldn't just post a bunch of garbage, then blame ratism for all of their downvotes. More often than not, if you're getting -50, you probably posted something bad.)
If you strongly disagree with me, link a few blogs where you think the person received much more downvotes than they deserved. Your claims would be more founded with examples, after all.
As an example, reading your comment, I didn't care whether or not you're actually a newbie or not—you didn't write garbage—and I wasn't so surprised to learn that you're actually a master. Either way, reading your comment, you seem decent and actually think before you say something, and I would be interested to talk more with you instead of outright downvoting/blocking you.
I think if you write decent content, you are not going to be downvoted, just don't post disturbing shitposts or questions you could've easily answered with a quick Google search (that includes questions already discussed a lot like 'how to practice').
Just write good shitpost duh, nothing to do with rating.Obviously, my shitposts wouldn't get many upvotes if I were not LGM, because a lot of people wouldn't even open the blog. But I don't think I would be downvoted either. LGM gives me more visibility, but the blog still needs to be good to get upvotes, and if it is bad, it will be downvoted.uhh what i can say but the blog u gave an example is like a bit tuff like what could bros do he saw here as a home :sobe: just confessed but it's your tought not mine soo HAPPY NEW YEAR :D
Life is two days, one day to your detriment and one day to your detriment.
so based on this, what is the min rating required to get upvotes..??
.
You touched most of us like me.. thanks for spreading this info :) btw HAPPY NEW YEAR
For example?
That's why I dislike magic, it makes my job of being a ratist harder.
