We (brendonw, r_skk, askeww) are excited to announce that registration is now open for SACC 2026, the Seattle Area Coding Organization's (SACO) first in-person programming contest.

SACO is a student-led organization dedicated to connecting young coders across the Pacific Northwest through competitive programming and accessible STEM opportunities. Our contest is designed for pre-college students interested in coding, problem-solving, computer science, or math.

Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, May 23, 2026 9:30 AM — 4:00 PM
• Location: CodingMind Academy, 4006 148th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052
• Eligibility: Pre-college students (other participants may compete unofficially)
• Format: Competitive programming contest
• Registration: Free
• Prizes: Over $500 in prizes will be awarded to top performers (and raffle winners)
• Team size: Students may compete in teams of up to 3

This event is a great opportunity for students to challenge themselves, meet other coders from the region, compete for prizes, and build experience with algorithmic problem-solving in a supportive environment.
