So recently I've been thinking, would a brilliant mathematician do extremely well in cp? Hypothetically speaking, if Terence Tao started learning data structures and algorithms for a month and then started grinding contests on Codeforces, would he make LGM in a couple months and maybe even secure a comfortable #1 place on top rating? Personally, I genuinely believe it might be possible but that might be due to my naivety and lack of experience. I am curious what you guys think.

so recently I've been thinking, would a pupil like you do extremely well in cp if instead of thinking about hypothetical questions, he was thinking about problems? Hypothetically speaking, if you started actually doing codeforces problems for a month then actually did contests on Codeforces, would you not be pupil in a couple months and maybe even hit expert? Personally, I genuinely think it might be possible but that might be due to me having too much trust for pupils like you. I aint curious about what you think, this is a suggestion for you to LOCK IN

Definitely he would be able to become an LGM comfortably, but I don't think comfortable rank 1 would be anywhere even close to being easy.
