First of all congratulations! It was an amazing transmition!

Is it possible to update the video with the screen of the champions? Maybe with the screen of the top 3?

I do not think we would change it in any way for this year. We would think about adding something after closing ceremony

I liked the format of the translation (watched for first 1.5 hours only), the mix of contest and guest area, this was good as a format. But unfortunately the sound was awful and I stopped watching the translation because of it. I liked 'split camera' and was using it mostly, but it had almost constant noise, was it streaming sound from all 4 cameras? It was very rare case when I was able to distinguish somebody talking on split camera. Another sound problem was sound streaming from the studio, several times you had some issues with microphones (I understand, it might happen) but could you please make sure the guests and host in studio know whether they are online or not. Otherwise several times we were listening how Roman was talking to the crew. And the most surprising point was the phrase "Unfortunately, we have some issues with microphones so let's switch to the arena and get back here later... [thinking he is not streamed anymore] . Черт. Fuck".

Thanks. We are thinking to add commentator in addition to studio host, that should somewhat fix this. Split camera indeed had sound from all 4 cameras at the same time

First of all, thank you guys for all the endeavors. Overall it was a great event.

Nonetheless, I do have some feedbacks here:
1. The resolver went way too fast. IIRC, it was at moderate speeds last year.
2. The whole awarding ceremony was kind of dry. There wasn't background music, the atmosphere was really "quiet" in general. I don't feel as pumped as I was last year.
3. I was expecting something special for ITMO solving all 13 problems, but there weren't any.

One thing I really like: I love the fact that we are able to look at contestants' screens this year. The interface and overlay were truly gorgeous. I hope to see this system being employed next year.

Well, all your feedback is about closing ceremony itself which is obviously outside our control.

      Hmm... okay.

Well then I think I have only 1 more to add.
Next time, perhaps you guys can contact Twitch in advance.
They will love to help you out.
If I'm not mistaken, the channels weren't even partnered.
      From my experience with Twitch,
for an event of this size and importance, they can probably give front page promotion.

Or they can ban channels outright as they want mostly gaming content. Twitch was there mostly to help us with China where Youtube is banned. On the other hand connecting channels seems to be a good idea

Were the teams shown in the split screen at each time being selected by some randomized algorithm, or were they being selected manually?
Plenty of times, the same team / same monitor was being shown in multiple screens.

  1. There were no sound from microphones sometimes. So it is very bad.
  2. Sometimes there were noisy. Sometimes noise from the contest area was bigger than discussion, so it was hard to listen.
  3. There were left justified 13 boxes whit letters, which were covering part of the screen, and it was difficult to see what teams are writing on their screens. So these boxes could be right justified.
  4. Sometimes we could hear what about teams were talking. Its was very good.

  5. Sometimes we saw the coding. It is the very interesting part of Live translation, so organizers should give more time to watch how teams are coding. And maybe one of the experts could comment what the team are coding.
  6. It would be cool, if we can join ourselves to the cameras or screens of different teams? Sorry for broken english.

Thanks for feedback. There was a way to get to see your team on second channel by promoting it through social media.
