Topcoder proxy

I'm using Windows 7 and topcoder arena applet is blocked in our college wifi.

In Topcoder proxy settings it asks for Proxy type, Host and Port details.. could anyone help me in that plz..

Did you try to connect via HTTP Tunnel A/B?

Try to use "Java Control Panel" at "Control Panel" of Operation System.

Inlay "General"->"Network Settings"

    Try to google about "proxy list", you should find proxies in this form:
    IP address : port
    Then try to set that data as your standard network setting.
    (I am sure it is possible to set a proxy for a particular browser, i.e firefox, but I have never tried to set a proxy "globally" so you should try and google about it)

    and try to google about "global proxy windows"

      do java applets depend on browsers? And i'm weak at networks and i will be helped if you specify the steps i should try. thanks in advance

the nice proxy site working in our institution is https://www.frogpowder.com. The site is not functioning in http. I don't know the port type and port number.. There are few things asked in the topcoder arena proxy settings. I don't know what to enter in them. Help plz..

    use this. http://cyberghostvpn.com/ when you will install and open this program every other program (and topcoder applet too) will use proxy. cyber ghost free version is sufficent for topcoder applet

The first question should be "Are you sure you don't use any proxy in common browser? (InternetExplorer/MozillaFirefox/...)"

We also cannot access Topcoder in our university. We're using a software named Ultrasurf. Everytime you need to login to topcoder arena, starts it, then starts the Contest applet. Ultrasurf will automatically do everything for you. Just need to use auto detect before logging in the first time.
