In my idea, if Codeforces enables RSS for blogs we will use them better; won't we?

I am sure, we won't. There is mostly a mess in blogs and recent activity as well, so one should be very motivated to use RSS. Blogs should be revisited (e.g. categorized) first.

    blogs aren't that much active in here, so there's certainly no point in making any "categories"; though an RSS for the Main page actually sounds like a good idea, i can't think of any reason not to have it

      Please do not think that I am against RSS at codeforces at all. I just meant that it would be mostly unusable. If only blogs were categorized, then one would be able to subscribe for (e.g.) "upcoming contests", "reports from on-sites", "algorithms&structures tutorials", "interesting problems quiz" and not receive all these "Спортивное программирование и *" threads, yet another "Please solve me a problem" or "Happy birthday to me" in RSS.

      RSS for the main page is okay, but the vast majority of posts there are announcements of upcoming contests, and we all receive them by e-mail.

But you get the updates on your mail when someone replies to your comments or writes something on your blog.Moreover the "Recent Actions" gives us all the recent blogs which are updated.So whats the need of RSS??

Please provide RSS feed for "detailed" (прямой ефирю). I would set up this link in my email reader and wouldn't need to visit the webpage just to see what's new. My email program would also show me which are the new messages and which I had already read. These are the advantages of rss feeds.

Implementation is simple afaik, just another format of the same data.
